February is going to be Genetsealer Cult time around here- I'm going to be on triple time to finish this project by deadline. Won't be much of any time for my own projects, they're all on hold, but I don't want to leave the blog unattended either. Here are the aliens from the last update, now finished.

This is two squads of Cult psychers, along with the command squad astropath. The pycher squads each have a missing member, their leaders, which I finished converting last night- I'll show a picture of them tomorrow.
I'm pretty happy with the limited pallet. Only a few colors, but transitioning through them I feel makes for an interesting look.
Not the girl you want to bring home to mother.
Unless you don't like your mother, and you'd like to see her get eaten.
Awesomely Creepy - reminds me of "the Thing". Those co ours look great!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! reminds me of someone i once met in a nightclub in norwich!

Wonderful stuff, very H.R. Giger! Definitely not the ideal first date to bring home.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors on these. And no, these are not the kind of girls you want to date! I think they might kill you after mating, just like a black widow spider.
ReplyDeleteyeah... no mating... but definitely high on the grotesque factor. Incredible job.
ReplyDeletere: colors, thanks Paul & Anne.. I wasn't too keen on the colors at first until I started in one them and tried blending them together and darkening up the original purple to black, and now I'm liking it. Especially on the brood mother's legs, it makes me think of crabs. Actually, I'm thinking of using the reddish to black via purple as a possible theme for the Valkyrie War Rocket ships.
ReplyDeleteand good point Anne.. I have some exes that would describe actually.. definitely something to avoid.
I agree Michael- it's so Giger I almost gave them chrome teeth, but didn't think it'd really go with the colors.
Thanks & welcome Coronado & Marsekay! I signed up to follow both of your blogs as well, looks like fun stuff!
Very creepy looking. Very nicejob on the lot.
ReplyDeleteOMG... Sweet!
