Blood Bowl Werewolves on the Cheap

I've been working now & then on a Blood Bowl team for myself, for my 'all 24 teams' long term goal.
Well, I've been working on a lot of teams.. the goal is 24 total after all.

The team in question now is an Undead team.  I have another team assembled for Necromantic, but I decided what the heck, all I really needed was 2 werewolves to make the Undead team a combo team for Necromantic too. But I didn't want to spend much on the werewolves, since I already have a dedicated Necromantic team planned.

So I turned to my favorite Reaper Werewolf, which is now in Bones material. To add 2 minis to the team for less than $3? Not a hard call.

Same mini twice gets old fast, so I converted them a bit by changing arms and giving them similar but a bit different armor.  The shoulder pads are made to mimic the shoulder armor of the rest of the team, which I'll show soon.

And there we go.
Bit of green stuff & conversion time and have two werewolves ready to join a team for a very low cost.

  1. When you break it down to numbers you just can't beat the Reaper deals. Great start too.

  6. Thanks all, much appreciated :)

prep took some time for the wolves before painting, was a bit paranoid maybe, but after preparing it, they painted up fine as any mini of other material. They're on the next update.

Anne: thanks for the idea, i put them up over there.

ColK: makes sense, and a lot more affordable than gw crypt horrors ;)

  7. Great looking conversions and the moving of the arms makes them look like different miniatures.

I have still to try a Reaper Bones miniature, having not taken part in the KickStarter and missing out on eBay bids. However this is all about to change as I have just been successful in bidding for a mini.
