Stormtrooper Elf

Finished a Warmachine Retribution character recently.
I was impressed with the sculpt and the detail. The client wanted white armor with black, for a 'stormtrooper' look, and a bit of color glow if possible.  We decided snow would make a good addition to the base and I thought a dark rich umber soil would be nice to keep the black-white contrast going.

Black and white are probably the hardest 'colors' to do, especially when it is the majority of the miniature.
For whatever reason, colors are just easier.  Must have been very tough in the days of black & white before technicolor ;)

Here she is:

I'm happy with the results. I now want to do a black & white scheme for myself, just not sure what yet.

And a female 'stormtrooper' put this in my mind, so enjoy:

Beautiful work, Black and white are both really tough in tiny scale because of the way you expect light to work. The base is perfect to set it off too.

Top figure mate - I agree B&W is very difficult but you seem to have had no problem at all ! :-)

Outstanding work! I always worry about the shading with white (do you go grey or buff?) This has really got it spot on.

Thanks everyone!
It's got me thinking this would make a nice way to paint some spaceships.
